The Client

A successful, growing consulting practice recognised across the south coast, offering fantastic career progression opportunities is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic, talented, and friendly Building Services team.

The Role:

  • Practical Project Involvement – Assisting in the design of electrical building services, including power distribution, lighting, generators, UPS systems, fire alarms, and sustainable/renewable energy solutions and more.
  • Site Experience – Conducting on-site surveys and assessments to improve energy performance and attending project/design team meetings, in interesting and often unusual buildings in different parts of the UK, gaining a deeper understanding of regulations and energy standards relating to the design and installation of electrical systems within buildings.
  • Technical Development – Learning to prepare technical reports, specifications, and CAD drawings, ensuring a well-rounded skill set.
  • Mentorship & Career Growth – Working alongside experienced Chartered Engineers, with tailored guidance to support professional development and career progression.
  • Innovation & Sustainability – Exploring emerging technologies such as smart building systems, energy-efficient solutions, and net-zero carbon strategies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or similar)
  • Passion for sustainable energy and smart building technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
