We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a London County Council on a long-term (ongoing) contract basis. This is a hybrid role, involving work from home, visits to sites, and time spent at the council’s offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and inspections
- Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation
- Design and review electrical systems for a range of building types, including:
- Office buildings
- Listed and heritage properties
- Leisure centres and libraries
- Residential developments
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – confident writing reports and leading meetings
- Proven experience in electrical design, specification writing, and contractor management
- In-depth understanding of Building Regulations and relevant standards
- Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IET) preferred
- Familiarity with JCT contracts and AutoCAD is an advantage
