We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a London County Council on a long-term (ongoing) contract basis. This is a hybrid role, involving work from home, visits to sites, and time spent at the council’s offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and inspections
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation
  • Design and review electrical systems for a range of building types, including:
  • Office buildings
  • Listed and heritage properties
  • Leisure centres and libraries
  • Residential developments

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – confident writing reports and leading meetings
  • Proven experience in electrical design, specification writing, and contractor management
  • In-depth understanding of Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IET) preferred
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and AutoCAD is an advantage
