Overview
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Technician Manager, the technician fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and assists staff pharmacists as directed.
Responsibilities
- Medication Fills
- Compounding of Sterile Products
- Timeliness of Functions
- Inventory Control
- Hospital Area Inspections
- Patient Billing
- Requisitions/acudose
- Maintaining the Pharmacy Environment
- Computer Skills
Qualifications
1 year hospital experience preferred or other relevant experience as a medical technician. Pharmacy certification required.
Competencies & Skills
Essential:
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
- Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
- Ability To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients and Team Members
- Ability To Withstand Crisis Situations
- Skills To Provide Customer Service To Patients, Team Members, and Visitors
- Proof Of Current/Valid Car Insurance
- Valid Driver\’s License With No More Than 3 Moving Violations
Credentials & Education
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Additional Information
Entry Level: USD $18.75/hr
Maximum Salary: USD $29.06/hr
