Company Description: Bee responsible supplies, installs and manages Honeybees and beehives for private estates, organisations, corporates and individual clients. We aim to promote and protect the work of the Honeybee, improved sustainability, the local environment, biodiversity and conservation initiatives as well as provide a healthy legacy for future generations to enjoy.
Role Description: We are currently searching for experienced, knowledgeable, professional and self-employed beekeepers to look after our clients' bee colonies in Kent, Surrey and Hertfordshire. The Beekeeper will be responsible for the management and care of honeybee colonies, maintaining and monitoring the health of beehives, harvesting honey and ensuring the overall safety and productivity of the bees. Additional tasks include implementing best practices for bee health, ensuring sustainable agricultural practices, providing training on beekeeping techniques, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The role will involve working closely with our clients to support pollination, ecosystem preservation efforts and biodiversity initiatives. We offer competitive rates.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Beekeeping and maintaining healthy, productive beehives
- Proficiency with Beehive management, monitoring, and maintenance
- Ability to provide Training on beekeeping practices and techniques
- Experience working with HNW and corporate clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Trouble-shooting hive issues; swarm control, queen rearing, managing unfavourable temperaments
- Reliable, adaptable and ability to work in outdoor environments from March to December
- Passion for environmental sustainability and bee conservation
- Relevant certifications or training in beekeeping are a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and report writing
- Can professionally communicate at all levels
- Discreet, professional and above all, trustworthy
- Would suit Self employed, active individual
- Can provide weekly beekeeping services from March to December
- Clean drivers licence
- Professional, discreet and friendly
- Experienced and knowledgeable beekeeper with over 5 years practical, hands-on experience
- Would not suit a 'Hobbyist' beekeeper
