Site Manager – Power Upgrade Project (Harlow)

About the Project
We’re delivering a high‑voltage (HV) power upgrade in Harlow – a mix of offsite and onsite cabling installation works. The role includes oversight of civils, trenching, cabling installation, and coordination of Local Authority permits for highways, road crossings, and traffic management. Directional drilling works may also form part of the scope.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing all on‑site activities to ensure safe, high‑quality, and timely delivery.
- Managing sub‑contractors, ensuring compliance with health & safety and CDM regulations.
- Coordinating with clients, local authorities, and internal teams.
- Maintaining accurate records, site reports, and daily logs using digital tools.
- Keeping a keen eye on quality, progress, and cost control.
What You’ll Need
- SMSTS certification (essential)
- CSCS Gold Card (or equivalent)
- First Aid at Work (Level 3)
- Strong understanding of CDM and Principal Contractor duties
- Experience in civils and cabling works – HV/LV experience desirable
- Commercial awareness and ability to make decisions independently
- Confident communicator (written & verbal)
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and digital site reporting tools)
