We are recruiting for a a well-established and growing construction company based in the Midlands, currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a solid general build background – ideally a bricklayer by trade – to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple residential and commercial building projects across the region, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple construction projects from pre-start through to completion Liaise with clients, subcontractors, site teams, and internal staffEnsure projects are delivered to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality benchmarks Manage health and safety compliance and site documentation Provide technical support, resolve issues, and implement practical solutions Monitor and report on project progress to directors and clients Assist in programming works and coordinating labour, materials, and plant Attend progress meetings and site inspections Requirements: Essential: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in general construction Background as a bricklayer or similar general builder trade In-depth knowledge of all aspects of building, including groundworks, brickwork, roofing, joinery, and finishes Strong people management and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills Full UK Driving Licence IT-literate (Microsoft Office, project reporting tools) Desirable: SMSTS, CSCS (Manager Level), First Aid (preferred but not essential) Experience in both residential and commercial construction Whatβs on Offer: Competitive salary of Β£60,000 per annum Choice of Β£550/month car allowance (non-taxable) or fully expensed company van Opportunities to work with a reputable, Midlands-based construction firm Long-term career progression and professional development Supportive team and well-structured working environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
