The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a well established contractor delivering social housing works across Coventry, Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent role working on an existing, long running contract that has already been operating successfully for several years. The trades are already in place, the programme is established, and there will be support from the existing management team. The role would suit someone who has experience managing fast paced social housing works, refurbishment works, voids, planned maintenance, kitchens, bathrooms or similar property upgrade programmes.

Duties

  • Managing and organising trades on a daily basis
  • Working from an existing programme of works
  • Making sure each trade knows where they need to be and what work needs completing
  • Liaising with the client side site team
  • Monitoring quality of works
  • Managing snags through WhatsApp, email and direct communication
  • Ensuring properties are ready for handover to the required standard
  • Keeping works moving to meet strict deadlines
  • Reporting into the senior management team

Requirements

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Previous experience managing social housing works
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Experience dealing with trades, snags, quality checks and handovers
  • Full UK driving licence
