The Role
We are working with a specialist contractor delivering a large-scale DX / VRF installation project in Sheffield. They are looking for a full-time non-working Site Supervisor to oversee the AC and refrigeration package on site. This is very much a hands-on supervision role, managing engineers day to day, ensuring works are carried out safely, correctly, and in line with programme and design.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision of AC / refrigeration engineers on site
- Attending and contributing to DABS meetings and site meetings
- Managing RAMS, permits, and site safety compliance
- Ensuring installation quality aligns with design and manufacturer standards
- Coordinating works and resolving issues on site
- Acting as the point of contact between site teams and project management
- Supporting smooth delivery of the programme across the full installation
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in DX / VRF or air conditioning installations
- Comfortable in a non-working supervisor role
- Confident running site and managing engineers day to day
- Strong on health & safety, RAMS and permit systems
- Able to attend and contribute to meetings with main contractor and stakeholders
- Practical, down to earth, and able to communicate effectively on site
Must Have
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- First Aid
- CSCS Card
- Proven experience supervising AC / HVAC or refrigeration installs
Ideal (Not Essential)
- Previous experience on large commercial or industrial projects
- Familiarity with DX / VRF systems
- Experience working alongside main contractors on structured sites
