Working Site Manager / Working Foreman Location: Lister Gate, Nottingham Rate: £280 per shift Start date: Monday 12 October 2026 Duration: Approximately five weeks We are looking for an experienced Working Site Manager or Working Foreman to oversee a fast-paced retail refurbishment project in central Nottingham. This is a genuinely hands-on position. There are already carpenters and labourers on site, and the successful manager will be expected to lead from the front, drive the workforce and physically assist where required to keep the programme moving. Responsibilities will include: • Managing the day-to-day running of the site • Driving the existing carpenters and labourers • Maintaining health and safety standards • Coordinating trades, deliveries and site activities • Monitoring quality and progress against the programme • Managing snagging and ensuring work is completed to the required standard • Providing practical, hands-on support where required Requirements: • Valid SMSTS • Valid First Aid certificate • Appropriate CSCS card • Previous shopfitting, retail fit-out or refurbishment experience • Strong hands-on carpentry or joinery background • Confident managing and motivating trades on a fast-paced project • Temporary Works qualification would be beneficial but is not essential This is not a purely office-based management role.
