We are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join our Response & Maintenance division, supporting a growing portfolio of social housing and local authority contracts. This role focuses on reactive maintenance, voids, roofing repairs, and general repairs and maintenance works.
You will work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial control across high-volume, fast-paced maintenance contracts, supporting cost management, reporting, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of reactive maintenance and voids contracts
- Measurement, pricing, and validation of works using Schedules of Rates
- Preparation and submission of valuations, applications for payment, and CVRs
- Managing and agreeing variations, quotations, and final accounts
- Supporting operational teams with cost control and commercial advice
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams on commercial matters
- Monitoring subcontractor performance, valuations, and payments
- Ensuring accurate records, audit trails, and compliance with contract requirements
- Assisting with forecasting, reporting, and risk management
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within repairs & maintenance, housing, or social housing
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, reactive environment
- Strong understanding of SOR-based contracts and measured term frameworks
- Experience with roofing, voids, and general maintenance works preferred
- Practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Confident working closely with operational teams
- Able to manage competing priorities and tight turnaround times
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
