Role Summary
As a Reception Team Member, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring exceptional service from check‑in to check‑out. You’ll manage bookings, answer inquiries, and assist guests with local recommendations, all while contributing to the hostel’s welcoming atmosphere. Collaboration with other departments is key, as is maintaining a clean, organized reception area. This role requires flexibility, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays, in a dynamic and supportive environment with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services: Welcome and assist guests with check‑in and check‑out processes. Handle reservations, payments, and room access. Address inquiries and offer recommendations.
- Reservation Management: Manage online and walk‑in bookings, cancellations, and modifications using the booking system. Ensure guest records are accurate.
- Payment Handling: Process payments securely via cash, credit card, and other methods.
- Communication: Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and social media inquiries.
- Complaint Resolution: Professionally handle guest complaints or issues.
- Coordination: Work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for new arrivals. Assist in organizing and promoting hostel events and social gatherings.
- Safety & Security: Monitor guest access and ensure safety protocols are followed. Be prepared for emergencies and respond according to procedures.
