Overview

The Night Porter role is vital to our success, booking guests into the hostel, advising on our offering and services, assisting guests with enquiries and questions, managing the Beds and Bars booking system, ensuring an effective hand over to the day team and working with the management team on security and safety. This is a full‑time night owl position for people who will be available to work from 12am – 7am.

Essential Requirements

  • Be eligible or have all necessary documentation to be legally employed in the country in which you are based.
  • All documentation required by any Local/Regional/National certifying or governing bodies to operate legally within your country.
  • Have an up‑to‑date/active bank account in your own name.
  • Be able to converse fluently in English.
  • Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable travelling distance of the hotel/bar.

Responsibilities

  • Booking guests into the Hostel, advising on our offering and services.
  • Assisting guests with enquiries and questions – e.g., hairdryer availability, breakfast times.
  • Managing the Beds and Bars booking system, ensuring all office administration is accurate.
  • Ensuring an effective hand over to the day team.
  • Working with the management team on security and safety.
  • Advising guests on London attractions.
  • Previous experience in a customer‑based role preferred but not essential.
