What do we want?
We’re looking for a Night Reception Host to join our Front of House teams across Scarlet Hotel and Bedruthan Hotel and Spa.
This is a key overnight role ensuring our hotels remain safe, secure, clean and welcoming while continuing to deliver exceptional guest care.
You’ll be the reassuring presence throughout the night—supporting late arrivals, early departures, guest requests, and general hotel operations.
We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys responsibility, and takes pride in delivering calm, consistent hospitality even during quieter or more challenging moments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver smooth late check-ins and early check-outs in line with hotel procedures
- Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally
- Support room service deliveries alongside the Food & Beverage team
- Accurately manage guest billing, payments and reception floats
- Maintain clean, tidy and welcoming reception and public areas
- Carry out overnight security checks across hotel buildings and grounds
- Handle guest requests and record feedback clearly and accurately
- Ensure effective shift handovers with day teams
- Report maintenance issues and follow up as required
- Support light cleaning and housekeeping tasks where needed
- Maintain a friendly, professional and solution-focused approach throughout the night
Qualifications
- Basic computer literacy is essential
- Good numeracy and accuracy with cash handling/transactions is essential
- Previous hospitality or hotel experience is desirable
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
- Security awareness or similar training is advantageous but not essential
