We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to support the smooth running of our laundry operations. This role is essential in ensuring our linen is cleaned, maintained and replenished to a high standard. You will work independently while being part of the wider housekeeping team, following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, tidy working environment. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This is a 32-hour per week position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Loading and unloading washing machines and tumble dryers
- Checking, folding and organising freshly laundered items
- Performing minor sewing and repair duties when required
- Replacing and replenishing laundry supplies
- Ordering linen and ensuring stock levels are accurate
- Maintaining a clean and tidy laundry workspace
- Reporting maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager
- Following all health & safety procedures at all times
- Working evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required
Qualifications:
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience (desirable, not essential)
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours
