We are looking for a dependable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team for the 2026 season. This is a vital behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our kitchens running efficiently, safely, and hygienically. You’ll support our chefs with basic food preparation while maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all kitchen areas. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to be part of a hardworking, close-knit team.
This is a seasonal role from 31/03/2026 to 31/10/2026, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Sunday, including morning, evening and bank holiday shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Wash, clean, and store all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, fridges, and appliances to required standards
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables
- Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and regularly
- Use and store cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the Head Chef
- Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards preferred
- Full training will be provided
