We’re looking for a warm, confident, and people-focused Events Host to join our Food & Beverage team at Bedruthan. You’ll play a key role in delivering seamless events, conferences, and private dining experiences, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and truly looked after. From first arrival to final farewell, you’ll help create moments that guests remember long after they leave. This is a permanent contract with a minimum of 32 hours per week from Monday to Sunday, and will include a mix of weekend, early and evening shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Host and support events, conferences, private dining, and functions across the hotel
- Greet and engage guests warmly, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience
- Deliver food and drink service to a high standard, including barista and bar service where required
- Prepare event spaces, ensuring mise en place is complete and presentation is exceptional
- Accurately take orders, input items through the POS system, and charge correctly
- Support the wider Food & Beverage operation across restaurants, bars, and room service as needed
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation at all times
- Act calmly and responsibly in emergency situations, prioritising guest safety
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure events run smoothly and professionally
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or food and beverage service preferred
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete)
- First Aid qualification desirable but not essential
- Friendly, confident, and engaging communication style
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
- Good spoken and written English
- A genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
