Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Engineer at Bedi Consulting Ltd.
The applicant should have 4+ years of industry experience in structural engineering design for heavy infrastructure projects, ideally for tunnelling projects.
The role is based in Greater London but allows for hybrid working.
- Role & responsibilities
- Technical expertise in civil/structural engineering focussed on design of steel and concrete structures.
- Demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles as applied to tunnelling and underground structures schemes if preferable, but not essential.
- Experienced in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and technical reports.
- Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialised structural inspections
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the delivery of tunnelling and /or underground projects involving multi-disciplinary design input and preparing deliverables to a high technical level.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Proficient working with Eurocodes and other design standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) is a plus
