Bedgebury Foundation is a grant‑making charity dedicated to supporting young people across Kent and East Sussex who are struggling to engage with education. The Trustees contribute to grant‑making strategy, evaluate applications from schools and charities, and make board recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all activities of Bedgebury Foundation and honour the time commitment required for a Trustee of a grant‑making charity.
  • Support the Trustee meetings and serve alongside other Trustees on the Grant Awards Team.
  • Contribute to grant‑making strategy, evaluate the value and likely outcomes of applications, and make board recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • At least two Trustees required with expertise in educating those least able to access the mainstream curriculum.
  • Experience in SEND (SpLD, Speech and Language, Trauma, or other areas) is ideal.
  • Strong charity connections across Kent and Medway to join the Board (volunteer).
