An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bedfordshire Police for a dynamic and forward-thinking finance professional to lead our Finance team and act as joint Deputy S151 Officer to both the Chief Finance Officer to the police service and the Police and Crime Commissioner.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified finance professional with drive and inspiration, who can bring energy and commitment to the role and who is dedicated to delivering quality services for the people of Bedfordshire.

You should have a thorough understanding of the police/local government regulatory and governance framework. You will be able to demonstrate a substantial track record of providing successful leadership, financial management and strategic financial advice at a senior level across a complex organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to work with both S151 Officers in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the organisation to support the strategic and operational planning and decision making.
