Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Trauma and Orthopaedic Fracture Clinic Department, coordinating with Orthopaedic and Nursing teams and the Matron to provide strong leadership, effective unit management, and staff development.
- Assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Delivering clinical services, supporting quality governance, patient experience, and workforce and education initiatives.
- Working across all areas as required to meet service needs.
- Holding an up-to-date British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) casting certificate.
- Managing the Gifford Nash Fracture Clinic and providing professional leadership for the plaster service across hospital sites.
- Supervising and teaching staff, acting as a clinical role model and team leader.
- Liaising with multidisciplinary teams within and outside the organization to ensure effective patient care.
Location: Primarily based at Bedford Hospital, with responsibilities at Gifford Nash Fracture Clinic.
