red star guest destination nestled in Newmarket, Suffolk. Surrounded by three
acres of beautiful grounds, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa retains the charm and

comfort, cuisine, hospitality and luxury.
The Team
Our continuing success is based on the team we have

the ability to deliver outstanding service & hospitality. We are a
privately owned, independent 4 Red Star Hotel and Spa. The successful candidate
will be joining our Conference & Events team at Bedford Lodge Hotel &
Spa to provide an exceptional experience for guests hosting and attending a
variety of events. We strive to create a great work place for our staff which
includes many staff benefits.
The Position
As part
of the Conference & Events waiting team you will join a friendly, flexible and
customer-focused team, catering a wide variety of events and celebrations held
at Bedford Lodge Hotel.
You will
play a key part in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service, whether
their event be for business or pleasure.
A week
working in the Conference and Events Department will vary, you will be trained
to look after corporate conferences, ensuring their day meets an important
schedule, as well as fulfilling a couple’s dreams, waiting on their wedding day
until the party is over.
With no
two days the same, you will have the self-motivation to thrive in a demanding
environment working alongside your peers.
Experience
is not a must as training will be provided, however it is preferred for this
position.
This is a zero-hour contracted role and you will be offered shifts that meet the requirements of the department.
About You
- You must have excellent customer care and
communication skills - You must have flexibility and availability to work
evenings and weekends - You must be organised, timely and pro-active
- You are neat and well-presented
- You are physical fit and able to meet the demands
of the role - You have a desire to work in a professional, guest
focused environment - Ideally you have experience in waiting and/or bar work,
however you will be given training as needed.
