Location: Tresham College – Kettering Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses. Note – Salary and annual leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About the role
- Teaching, Learning & Student Achievement: Deliver high‑quality teaching, assessment and verification across Levels 2–5, supporting learners to achieve their full potential and succeed.
- Curriculum Planning & Innovative Delivery: Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing to curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance: Monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback, meet awarding body standards and contribute to internal quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
- Learner Support, Behaviour & Enrichment: Support individual learner needs, promote positive behaviour and enhance learning through employer engagement and vocational opportunities.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, contribute to team and recruitment activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD standards.
About you
- Qualifications & Scientific Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related subject with GCSE English and maths, supported by vocational sector experience and commitment to achieving a teaching qualification.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Experience: Ability to deliver high‑quality teaching, creating engaging, inclusive learning environments that support student achievement and progression.
- Sector Knowledge & Continuous Development: Up‑to‑date knowledge of scientific developments, with a strong commitment to CPD and maintaining professional expertise.
- Communication, Organisation & Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, able to build effective relationships, meet deadlines and contribute to team success.
