Salary / Benefits: Salary is between £33,048 and £38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus bank holidays, teacher’s pension, retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses. Note: Salary and annual leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.
Hours / Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

About the role: We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Esports to join our Esports department at the Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching, Learning & Student Achievement: Deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and verification across a range of programmes and levels, supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
- Curriculum Planning & Innovative Delivery: Develop up-to-date schemes of work and engaging learning resources, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance: Monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback and ensure compliance with awarding body standards and internal quality processes.
- Learner Support, Behaviour & Enrichment: Support students through guidance, behaviour management and enrichment opportunities, including employer links and work experience.
- Professional Practice, Collaboration & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, contribute to team and college activities, and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and CPD responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualifications & Esports Expertise: Degree in Esports or a related field with GCSE English and maths, supported by strong, current knowledge of industry developments and trends.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Experience: Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences, supporting students to achieve success and develop relevant skills.
- Curriculum Knowledge & Continuous Development: Up-to-date understanding of the Esports sector with commitment to CPD and innovative teaching practices.
- Communication, Organisation & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, able to meet deadlines, build relationships and contribute positively within a team environment.
