Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £26,651 and £31,982 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 35 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role
- Teaching & Learning Delivery: Plan and deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of courses, adapting to individual learner needs and creating engaging, inclusive learning environments.
- Assessment & Student Progress: Assess, verify, and monitor student work in line with awarding body standards, taking action to support achievement and ensure deadlines are met.
- Curriculum Development & Innovation: Develop up‑to‑date schemes of work and learning materials, keeping subject knowledge current and embedding best practice in teaching.
- Student Support & Behaviour: Guide and support students to achieve their potential, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining an environment aligned with the Student Code of Conduct.
- Administration & Compliance: Complete course administration, contribute to quality processes and course reviews, support marketing activities, and adhere to safeguarding, EDI, health & safety, and professional standards.
About you
- Qualifications & Subject Expertise: Degree in Science or related field (or significant experience), with GCSE English and Maths, strong subject knowledge, and willingness to gain a teaching qualification.
- Teaching & Learning Capability: Ability to teach a range of science subjects (e.g. biology, chemistry), delivering high‑quality learning experiences and supporting student success.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships, work with diverse learners, and create a supportive learning environment.
- Organisation & Professional Skills: Highly organised, able to meet deadlines, contribute to team objectives, maintain high performance, and uphold organisational values.
- Compliance & Professional Conduct: Committed to safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health & safety, with a focus on maintaining professional standards and continuous development.
