About the role
- Student Support & Inclusion: Assist with the educational, personal and social needs of students, including those with SEND, promoting inclusive participation and positive behaviour.
- Learning Resource Preparation & Delivery: Prepare teaching materials, support curriculum activities and provide class cover during tutor absence, contributing to a high‑quality learning experience.
- Administrative & Operational Support: Manage departmental admin tasks such as data entry, filing and document preparation while maintaining accurate student records and supporting communication.
- Collaboration & Professional Conduct: Work closely with teaching and support staff, attend meetings, maintain confidentiality and provide cross‑departmental cover when needed.
- Compliance & Development: Uphold safeguarding, EDI and health and safety standards; actively engage in training and development to enhance role effectiveness.
About you
- Qualifications & Technical Skills: Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning and Level 2 English and Maths; proficient in Microsoft Office and ICT tools.
- Educational Support Experience: Experience supporting students in educational settings with strong skills in behaviour management, record keeping and administrative tasks.>
- Professional Attributes: Empathetic, discreet, proactive and detail‑oriented; demonstrates resilience, flexibility and a commitment to continuous development and teamwork.
