Role: Programme Manager - Computing
Location: Tresham College - Northamptonshire Campuses
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £41,400 and £47,971 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 35 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time UK based contract. You must have the Right to Work in the UK. Sponsorship not available. Any offer will be subject to evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
About the role
- Computing Teaching & Learner Support: Deliver, assess and support computing programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, guiding students to achieve success and realise their full potential.
- Curriculum Design & Innovation: Develop up-to-date schemes of work and engaging learning materials, contributing proactively to curriculum development and innovative teaching practice.
- Assessment, Progress & Quality Assurance: Assess and verify learner work to awarding body standards, monitor progress, complete tutorials, and contribute to quality processes, reviews and continuous improvement.
- Employer Links & Student Enrichment: Enhance learners' vocational experience through employer engagement, work experience opportunities, interviews, and participation in marketing and recruitment activities.
- Professional Practice & Compliance: Maintain inclusive, safe learning environments, manage behaviour and administration accurately, uphold safeguarding, EDI and health & safety requirements, and contribute to college-wide events and priorities.
About you
- Qualifications, Compliance & Professional Standing: Degree in relevant specialist area or equivalent industry experience, GCSE English and maths, valid DBS and visa status, with strong evidence of high performance.
- Teaching, Quality & Curriculum Delivery: Experience teaching at Levels 2-4, with strong knowledge of FE quality assurance systems and the use of data and IT to monitor and improve course delivery.
- Learner Experience & Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment, manage sensitive information confidentially and build strong professional relationships.
- Performance, Leadership & Innovation: Proactive and resilient, able to meet demanding deadlines, set and achieve goals, influence at all levels, take responsibility and contribute creative solutions under pressure.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
