Role Overview
Associate Exam Invigilator in the Examinations Department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
- Examination Integrity & Compliance β Ensure full integrity of the examination process following procedures set by the Examinations Team Manager and Awarding Body regulations.
- Preparation of Exam Materials & Rooms β Prepare exam materials, seating plans, adapted papers and room displays, ensuring resources are ready, accurate and secure ahead of each examination.
- Paper Handling, Security & Access Arrangements β Check arrival of papers, issue and secure materials, organise Access Arrangements and coordinate with the Senior Examinations Administrator/Exams Manager to meet statutory support requirements.
- Documentation, Despatch & Administration β Maintain accurate logs, check attendance registers and ensure scripts and documents are dispatched correctly, along with completing general office duties as required.
- Safeguarding, EDI & Compliance Responsibilities β Uphold safeguarding duties, promote equality, diversity and inclusion, follow health & safety requirements and engage in ongoing training and development.
About You
- Qualifications & Core Skills β Maths and English at A*-C / Level 2, plus a minimum of five GCSEs and strong IT capability including databases, Excel and Word.
- Customer Service & Administrative Experience β Experienced in customer-focused environments, handling confidential information, completing office-based administration and entering data accurately into digital systems.
- Teamwork, Initiative & Professionalism β Able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating honesty, reliability, willingness to learn and a consistently positive contribution to team success.
- Organisation, Procedures & Performance β Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, remain calm under pressure and maintain high performance during busy periods.
