About the role: We are currently seeking a Training Coordinator in Logistics to join our Logistics department at The Bedford College Group. As a Training Coordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through the following responsibilities:
- Work-Based Learning Delivery & Assessment: Coordinate training for work-based provision, delivering and assessing both knowledge and competence components to ensure learners meet all qualification requirements.
- Learner Progress & Evidence Management: Track learner progress accurately, support portfolio building, set SMART targets, provide robust feedback and maintain valid, auditable assessment and achievement records.
- Employer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, tutors and support teams, organising reviews, sharing progress updates and referring business leads where appropriate.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Participate in and lead internal quality assurance, standardisation and external inspection processes, ensuring funding, audit, awarding-body and college requirements are fully met.
- Professional, College-Wide Responsibilities: Engage in CPD, team collaboration and college events, maintain confidentiality, deliver Information, Advice and Guidance, and uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, health & safety and training obligations.
About you:
- Qualifications & Sector Expertise: Level 3+ qualification in a relevant sector, TAQA qualifications (or equivalents), English and maths at GCSE level (or willingness to achieve), with strong experience assessing within the logistics or related industry.
- Industry Knowledge & Training Delivery: In-depth understanding of logistics health & safety requirements, experience using industry systems (e.g. transport and warehouse management), and ability to deliver training aligned to current sector standards.
- Assessment, Feedback & Learner Support: Skilled in assessing and providing robust, qualitative feedback, supporting learners through multiple channels, building strong rapport, and maintaining high-quality learning experiences.
- Professional Skills & Team Contribution: Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to team performance while promoting the College’s reputation and values.
