Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £27,717 and £32,515 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

About the role
- Apprenticeship Recruitment & Matching: Manage vacancies and applications, screen candidates, and ensure smooth recruitment for both employers and applicants.
- Student & Applicant Support: Act as the main contact for apprenticeship seekers, providing careers advice, guidance, and support through application and onboarding.
- Employer & School Engagement: Build strong relationships with employers and school careers leads, deliver presentations, and attend events to promote apprenticeship pathways.
- Process Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in CRM, monitor progress against targets, and contribute to continuous improvement in recruitment processes.
- Compliance & College Responsibilities: Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards; attend training and represent the College at internal and external events.
About you
- Essential Qualifications: Level 3 or higher in IAG, customer service, business support, or recruitment (or willingness to study); Level 2 Maths and English; full UK driving licence and car access.
- Experience & Knowledge: Proven track record in advice and guidance, customer‑focused roles, meeting targets, and strong understanding of equality and diversity in recruitment.
- Technical & Presentation Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency, confident delivering presentations to large groups, and ability to use IT systems effectively.
- Core Competencies: Strong organisational and networking skills, ability to manage workload under pressure, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and maintain professional boundaries.
- Personal Attributes & Flexibility: Highly self‑motivated, enthusiastic, adaptable to changing environments, committed to CPD, and willing to travel across locations.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
