About the role: We are currently seeking an Associate Lecturer in CIPD to join our Business department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities
- Teaching & Assessment - Deliver and assess the Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, tailoring learning to individual student needs and ensuring awarding body standards are met.
- Student Support & Progress Monitoring - Provide tutorials, track progress, maintain records, and guide students to achieve their full potential through high-quality learning experiences.
- Curriculum Development & Innovation - Contribute to curriculum design, develop engaging learning materials, and implement vocational opportunities to enhance student outcomes.
- Quality Assurance & College Engagement - Participate in course reviews, team meetings, student surveys, and college-wide events, while supporting recruitment and promotional activities.
- Compliance & Professional Conduct - Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standards; engage in CPD; and mentor new staff while promoting TBCG values and policies.
About you
- Qualifications & Industry Experience - CIPD qualified (or equivalent), GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), with professional experience in an HR environment and a strong track record of performance.
- Teaching & Curriculum Skills - Skilled in developing engaging learning materials, extending vocational relevance, maintaining student behaviour standards, and completing administrative tasks accurately.
- Compliance & Best Practice - Knowledge of health & safety, equality and diversity, and safeguarding; committed to upholding professional boundaries and College policies.
- Professional Attributes & Communication - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively, promote the College\\\'s reputation, and contribute positively to team culture.
- Flexibility & Development - Willing to travel across sites, adapt working hours, and continuously update skills and knowledge through CPD.
