Location: Central Bedfordshire College - Dunstable Kingsway Campus with travel to Shuttleworth College once a week.
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £23,557 and £26,754 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year.

About the role:
- SEND Support Processes: Manage key SEND procedures such as support meetings, referrals, EHCP annual reviews, consultations and exam access arrangements.
- Student Engagement & Guidance: Contact learners with identified needs promptly, arrange support appointments and provide frontline advice on Additional Learning Support.
- Administrative Accuracy & Documentation: Prepare, maintain and file SEND documentation, learner records, timetables, registers and support cards to required standards.
- Team & System Support: Support the Additional Learning Support Team, including CogNassist processes, facilitator support and adherence to customer service expectations.
- Compliance & Statutory Duties: Follow safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and training requirements in line with college policies while meeting statutory timelines for SEND processes.
About you:
- Core Qualifications & IT Skills: GCSE (or equivalent) maths and English at Grade C/4+, willingness to achieve Level 3 Business, and strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and internet use.
- Customer Service & Administrative Experience: At least two years in a customer-focused role, handling confidential information, recording data accurately and managing documents both digitally and on paper.
- Organisation, Professionalism & Resilience: Able to work independently, meet deadlines, stay calm under pressure, maintain high performance standards and promote the college’s professional reputation.
- Communication, Teamwork & Inclusivity: Communicate confidently across all channels, work effectively with diverse groups, create welcoming environments, and uphold values of teamwork, inclusivity, care and student-centred practice.
- Safeguarding, Flexibility & Mobility: Demonstrate safe practice with children and vulnerable adults, maintain boundaries, update skills continuously, work flexibly across college locations and travel independently between sites.
