We are seeking a skilled, resilient, and compassionate Temporary Accommodation Placement Management Officer to support households living in temporary accommodation. Many customers have complex needs, are at risk of eviction, or have experienced repeated placement breakdowns.

About the Role

You will manage temporary accommodation placements across the borough, ensuring properties are safe, suitable, and well maintained. A key focus of the role is working closely with customers to help them understand and comply with licence or tenancy conditions, enabling them to sustain their accommodation and avoid homelessness. You will manage a varied caseload, including high-risk and complex cases, using a balanced approach that combines supportive intervention with proportionate enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage placements and support customers at risk of eviction
  • Work with providers to resolve property issues and ensure standards are met
  • Undertake inspections, welfare checks, and respond to tenancy breaches
