Sessional Workers support children & families in need of services on a casual basis, as and when required. Good availability is essential to meet the needs of a growing service operating seven days a week.
Formal qualifications in working with children and families are not required but would be an advantage. Experience in the field would be helpful. You will need to be reliable, assertive, resilient, and have the ability to maintain boundaries and be ready to attend training to build your experience and knowledge of working with families.
Use of a car and ability to drive within and out of Borough is essential, as is the ability to work flexible hours to include some early starts and late evenings and weekends.
We offer an induction programme with supervision & an appraisal. We have excellent in house training and development opportunities to gain a wide variety of skills and experiences in a busy and thriving environment. Existing ambitious post holders have used their sessional work experiences to successfully progress their career aspirations.
