An opportunity has arisen for a confident and resourceful person to join the Operations Team as a Halls Assistant within the Bedford Corn Exchange Complex. Within this role, the applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all the events are set up and delivered to the highest professional standard. The Bedford Corn Exchange complex, together with function rooms in the heart of Bedford, hosts a numerous and diverse programme of events – both public and private – throughout the year.

As a Halls Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Duty Officer responsible for preparing the venue on a daily basis to meet the varying demands of our customers. The work is primarily manual in nature and will involve cleaning, some heavy lifting, and basic repair work. You will be expected to work in a team and possess basic knowledge of health and safety requirements. All duties will involve evening and weekend work performed on a rotational basis.
