Bedford Borough Council has an exciting opportunity within Human Resources for an Employee Relations Officer. We are looking for someone who is able to offer a strong contribution to the Employee Relations Team and become an integral part of the team.
You will support the delivery of the employee relations service provided by the HRBP’s and the Employee Relations Advisers through the provision of efficient proactive client focused administration service to the Employee Relations team and all external clients, in line with all HR policies & procedures legislation and the ACAS code of practice.
You will be expected to provide straightforward advice and guidance on all HR policies and procedures, supporting straightforward Employee Relations case work.
You will be responsible for a number of wide and varied administration responsibilities within the Employee Relations Team which will include:
- Overseeing the job evaluation processes of Hay and NJC job evaluation
- Producing sickness reports for the various Directorates to enable the management of sickness
- Producing quarterly and yearly statistics
- Responding positively to changing priorities
You will work closely with the HR Business Partners in the provision of an effective, professional and customer focused employee relations service that promotes a positive work environment.
