About the role

Bedford Borough Council is looking for a caring and confident person able to work with Social Workers and Carers on behalf of clients who do not have capacity to manage their own financial affairs and are in receipt of Money Management Services from the Council.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clients' financial affairs through appointeeship or deputyship, acting in the best interests of the customers at all times
  • Reconcile bank accounts and pay bills as required
  • Ensure correct benefits are claimed and paid on time
  • Work within legal guidelines and report any irregularities

Qualifications

  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong understanding of financial management and legal guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills with social workers and carers
