Bede's Trust is currently looking to appoint a Minibus Driver (Evenings) to join our Transport Team, based at our Senior School in Upper Dicker. As a member of the Transport Department, you will be transporting pupils to and from school in accordance with the planned timetable and agreed routes. Additionally, you will transport pupils to sporting fixtures, airports, activities and school trips.
You will be responsible for the supervision, safety and behaviour of pupils whilst on or around vehicles, and you will need to drive and operate vehicles in accordance with current legislation and the school's policies and procedures at all times.
The successful applicant will need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as be a confident, polite, and organised individual, who provides the highest levels of driver behaviour and safety. The applicant will need to hold a valid driving licence Category D1 and have a good knowledge of the local road network. You will also need to have a recent eye test result within the last 3 months.
This is a Permanent, Part-Time position, working 12 hours per week, consisting of 19:00 - 22:00, Monday - Thursday, Term Time Only plus 3 weeks (36 weeks per year). There is a requirement to attend two Saturdays of Open Mornings and one day of INSET per year.
