Description

The QA Analyst will test the user-facing aspects of our online gaming software as it is developed. This will include designing test suites, executing exploratory testing, maintaining test environment stability, and reviewing requirements documentation for completeness. Working as part of a focused development team, you are tasked with the singular goal of ensuring the creation of the highest quality software possible.

This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in our Newcastle-upon-Tyne office two days a week. Please apply only if you’re comfortable with this arrangement.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Testing of requirements across Web and Native App products.
  2. Exploratory Testing of Web and Native App products.
  3. Documentation of test evidence.
  4. Maintenance and execution of test suites.
  5. Accessibility testing across Web and Native App products.
  6. Any other required duties that are deemed reasonable to the role.

What we are looking for

  1. Clear communicator (written and verbal) – Ability to write test plans and test cases, to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
  2. Creative solving of technical problems – the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans.
  3. Self-management skills – the ability to meet deadlines, concentrate on stated deliverables and manage tasks received from several work-streams.
  4. Ability to think abstractly – to see a product or system as a collection of integrated, individual parts, and discover and test edge cases.
  5. Experience in software development and Agile processes.
  6. Experience in quality management software (Atlassian JIRA, BrowserStack, Test Rail).
  7. Experience mocking test scenarios using external tools (Devtools, Postman).
  8. Experience in automated testing tools (Selenium, Test Architect, Cucumber or similar).
  9. Background in programming or other logic-based discipline.
