We’re looking for a Product Manager to help shape the direction of Bede’s product offering and play a key role in how we continue to evolve our platform for customers. This is a customer-facing product role with a strong focus on product strategy, roadmap development, market insight and commercial value. You’ll work closely with customers, Product Owners, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to understand what matters most, turn insight into clear product direction, and help bring new ideas and improvements to life. You’ll be someone who enjoys getting close to the market, building strong relationships, and thinking about the full end-to-end product experience. You’ll use data, customer feedback and industry knowledge to make informed decisions, champion product excellence, and help ensure Bede’s products continue to deliver value for both our customers and the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop a product strategy for your SME area that aligns with Bede’s broader vision and goals.
  • Create and manage the Bede Product Roadmap for respective product areas, maintaining and curating the Portfolio Backlog.
  • Define high-level requirements and contribute towards proposals for new product initiatives.
  • Take ownership of the full end-to-end journey for the products and services within your domain.
  • Utilise data insights to identify areas of strength and weakness for Bede’s products and services, making recommendations accordingly.
  • Set clear KPIs to measure the success of new features when introducing them into the product.
  • Understand operator revenues, marketing strategy and strategic goals, including how new initiatives will impact these revenues.
  • Manage, track and approve changes to your product portfolio as a Project Sponsor.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to maximise value to Bede.
  • Keep up to date with industry and market shifts, including technological advances, competitor awareness and regulatory changes.
  • Create awareness of Bede’s products with customers to ensure they make the most of their usage.
  • Lead the Bede Feedback Forums with operators, turning product feedback and insights into iterative improvements.
  • Develop pre-sales materials, conduct product demos for prospective new clients and act as an ambassador for Bede.
  • Provide support, guidance and product expertise during the post-sales process and beyond to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a thorough understanding of third-party integrations available in the market and the benefits of each, providing recommendations to operators based on this knowledge.
  • Review and respond to incoming Change Requests in a timely manner, working alongside Business Analysts and Technical Leads where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners on feature documentation, product user guide creation and shared understanding of the product and its direction.
  • Travel is required for customer visits, sales pitches and trade shows.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a related product role, ideally within iGaming, or a related role within payments, compliance or identity verification within a technology, software or platform environment.
  • Experience owning the full end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Ability to create and manage product roadmaps, business cases and high-level requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insight to inform decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of key product management methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and internal teams.

What we can offer you

  • A friendly, flexible and trust-based approach to working.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays and usually a generous Christmas break.
  • Fully matched private pension scheme (up to 8%).
  • Bupa private healthcare from day one, including cash plan benefits, dental and optical cover (covers all pre-existing conditions).
  • Life assurance cover of 4x your annual salary.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (via Bupa), providing confidential support and practical advice whenever you might need it.
  • Access to Calm – the #1 app for meditation and sleep.
  • Innovation and learning – space to develop skills, try new ideas and experiment, with an annual hackathon where some ideas make it into real work.
  • A work-owned mobile phone or tablet of your choice, with the monthly contract covered by us.
  • A great office setup – free snacks and drinks every day, plus regular food vans from some of the best places in Newcastle.
  • Bede Bucks – exclusive colleague discounts and access to a wellbeing platform.
  • Lots of social events – both in and outside of working hours.
  • Referral programme – help us grow the team and receive a referral bonus of up to £3,000 (pre-tax, subject to scheme terms).
