We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active and organised ICT Technician seeking a new challenge to join our Whole School ICT Team to provide first line, on-site technical support to students and staff. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience providing ICT support within a similar position and be committed to ensuring we deliver high-quality responsive support to customers.

Experience & Background
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• At least 1 years’ experience providing ICT Support within a similar position – experience of working in a school is not mandatory
• A sound technical understanding of end-user hardware such as desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers etc.
• Experience of using and supporting common software such as Microsoft Windows, Office, Office365, Adobe Creative and Apple operating systems
• Be highly organised allowing you to correctly prioritise your workload
• Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills together with a desire to continuously learn
• Bring an attention to detail in everything you do and care passionately about your work

Duties
As an ICT Technician, you will be responsible for:
• Minimising day-to-day disruption for teachers, support staff and pupils by resolving their ICT issues
• Supporting and maintaining hardware including PCs, laptops, Apple MacBook’s & iMacs, printers, photocopiers, audio/visual systems, classroom screens, telephones, mobile phones, tablets and other end-user hardware
• Troubleshooting and resolving software issues within applications, operating systems and systems used at the schools
• Being the face of the ICT department, taking calls and managing your workload on the ICT Helpdesk within the department’s Service Level Agreements
• Maintaining accurate data and information relating to the ICT estate

This post is Regulated Activity.

Hours of Work
This is a full time, full year post. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The exact work pattern will be discussed at interview. In addition, you will also be required to work a maximum of four Saturdays per year from 08:00 to 13:00 with the time claimed back the following week. Occasionally, you may be required to support out-of-hours school events.

Salary
£25,749 per annum based on the above hours and weeks of work.
