The health centre provides a high standard of health care and welfare support for our Day and Boarding students aged 13‑18yrs. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team starting 1 September 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Management of minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Health promotion, student emotional support and general health advice, including sexual health and immunisations.
  • Assisting with GP clinics and medical procedures within the school.

Qualifications

  • Registered nurse on part 8 or part 15 of the NMC register with relevant post‑registration experience.
  • Knowledge and experience caring for adolescents.
  • Experience in A&E, mental health nursing or school nursing preferred.
  • Paramedic experience considered.

Working Hours

  • 19 hours per week during term time – 33 weeks of the year.
  • Additional week during school holidays.
  • Term‑time pattern: Tuesday 08:00‑14:00 (30‑minute unpaid lunch), Wednesday 13:00‑18:00, Friday 09:00‑18:00 (30‑minute unpaid lunch).
  • Potential for additional hours including weekends with extra pay.
