We are seeking to appoint a part-time Visiting Languages Teacher of German. The candidate will need to have experience of teaching the current GCSE and A Level German exams. From July our current Visiting Teacher of German will be leaving, and the successful candidate will be expected to offer all five students German lessons. The students’ level varies from GCSE preparation to A Level and sometimes there is the possibility of taking on some additional lessons with (semi) native speakers in the run-up to exams. This post is Regulated Activity.
Responsibilities
- Identify clear teaching objectives and specify how students will be taught and assessed in line with the syllabus or scheme of work, liaising with the Head of Faculty.
- Set tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest whilst ensuring relevance.
- Set clear targets, building on prior attainment.
