BD is recruiting a Field Service Engineer who will work as part of a dedicated team of engineers based across the UK and Ireland supporting infusion systems such as BD Alaris and BD Global Ambulatory. This role is primarily supporting the North London region, a company car is provided to cover the territory.
Responsibilities
- Cover a defined territory but support the wider team as required.
- Calibrate, service and repair customer and company equipment in accordance with company procedures aligned to department Turnaround Time.
- Provide remote technical support for customers via email, telephone or webinar.
- Provide technical device training both to internal and external customers.
- Provide support of investigations to customer complaints and any other issues that may arise.
- Produce detailed and accurate service reports using our business IT systems.
- Carry out detailed and effective stock inventory checks and monitoring of parts used and reordering when stock is low.
- Provide constructive feedback within the department to help with the development of service procedures and work instructions.
- Carry out project work to enable the evolution of the business.
- Support revenue growth, cost savings and operational efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Electrical or electronic engineering qualification or equivalent with proven experience in a field service capacity.
- Strong IT skills and ability to skill up on multiple systems easily.
- Strong communicator with excellent customer service.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible attitude to work to deliver solutions to customers.
- Preferably clean driver’s license.
