Job Description

BD is recruiting a Field Service Engineer who will work as part of a dedicated team of engineers based across the UK and Ireland supporting infusion systems such as BD Alaris and BD Global Ambulatory.

This role is primarily supporting the North London region, a company car is provided to cover the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Cover a defined territory but support the wider team as required.
  • Calibrate, service and repair customer and company equipment in accordance with company procedures aligned to department Turnaround Time.
  • Provide remote technical support for customers via email, telephone or webinar.
  • Provide technical device training both to internal and external customers.
  • Provide support of investigations to customer complaints and any other issues that may arise.
  • Produce detailed and accurate service reports using our business IT systems.
  • Carry out detailed and effective stock inventory checks and monitoring of parts used and reordering when stock is low.
  • Provide constructive feedback within the department to help with the development of service procedures and work instructions.
  • Carry out project work to enable the evolution of the business.
  • Support revenue growth, cost savings and operational efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Electrical or electronic engineering qualification or equivalent with proven experience in a field service capacity.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to skill up on multiple systems easily.
  • Strong communicator with excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible attitude to work to deliver solutions to customers.
  • Preferably clean driver’s license.
