As a Staff Engineer, BD Excellence, you will play a key role in strengthening a culture of excellence across the manufacturing environment by applying proven operational excellence methodologies and improvement tools. Reporting to the Plant OPEX Manager, you will work closely with teams across the site to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
- Coach and develop problem‑solving capabilities across teams and functions.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and apply BD Excellence methodologies to eliminate loss and improve efficiency.
- Support the development and delivery of multi‑year Cost to Win improvement programs.
- Use data, visual management tools, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and track results.
- Guide project selection and prioritization to ensure focus on high‑impact improvement activities.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning across the manufacturing site.
- Partner with colleagues across multiple locations to share best practices and support long‑term improvement goals.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to coach and influence others while building engagement and commitment to change.
- Experience managing projects and delivering measurable business improvements.
- Comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment with the flexibility to travel up to 25%.
