Overview

We seek an experienced Quality Engineer to join our quality team within a plant of 800+ employees. This is a part-time position. The Quality Engineer will oversee all operational aspects of the quality system, enhance operational efficiency on the manufacturing floor, manage non-conforming materials, and drive continuous improvement through effective change management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 13485 and CFR Part 820.
- Monitor and maintain the quality system, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Conduct product complaint investigations and manage corrective actions from implementation to closure.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures and policies to ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to achieve organizational performance goals.
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and propose improvements to existing procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Preferred Requirements
- Degree in Science or Engineering discipline (preferred).
- Proven experience in a regulated environment, ideally within pharmaceutical, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 13485, CFR Part 820, or equivalent regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles and methodologies in a regulated setting.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Minitab, or similar statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range for the role: £14,000 - £27,000 + benefits.
