We are a global medical technology company advancing the world of health. This day shift onsite role (7am‑7pm, 3 on / 3 off) offers a competitive salary plus an 11% shift premium.

Responsibilities

  • Provide toolroom-based support for repair of plastic tools and equipment to meet high‑volume production demands.
  • Lead, mentor and train Mould Repair Technicians and apprentices during shifts.
  • Economically utilise time and in‑house facilities to produce and repair moulding tool parts.
  • Provide engineering support for production as required.
  • Apply cylindrical and surface precision grinding, milling, turning, polishing, and laser engraving skills.
  • Manufacture jigs and fixtures for production support.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Procedures, safe working practices, housekeeping standards, and Safety Lockout and work warning systems.
  • Respond to emergencies and work overtime as required.
  • Maintain spares records to aid replenishment and cost control.
  • Coach, mentor and train associates and apprentices using logical root‑cause analysis.
  • Implement containment, corrective and preventive measures.
  • Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and toolroom process improvements to deliver PM maintenance plan.
  • Ensure resource requirements are captured within the budget cycle.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or multi‑skilled engineering (essential).
  • Experience ideally within a high‑volume injection moulding environment.
  • Experience performing duties associated with mould tooling maintenance and repair.
  • Experience training and developing individuals.
  • Knowledge of precision plastic mould repair techniques in an industrial environment (advantage).
  • Ability to work to engineering drawings.
  • Excellent PC knowledge and capability.
