Waters Biosciences is seeking a Clinical Implementation Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of regulated clinical flow cytometry solutions across the UK and Ireland. This role ensures complex diagnostic implementations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with clinical and accreditation requirements, directly supporting laboratories that provide patient-critical diagnostic services.

You will take ownership of complex, multi-site implementations spanning instruments, automation, software, assays, informatics, and workflow integration. Working across NHS laboratories, private pathology networks, and HSE clinical services in Ireland, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and guide customers through implementation, validation, and operational adoption. Regular travel across the UK and Ireland is required, with occasional travel within Europe. Candidates may be based anywhere in the UK, provided they are well positioned for travel (up to 20% of their time); depending on location, overnight stays should be expected. This is a fixed‑term role for 12 months.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading end-to-end clinical implementation projects from initiation through installation, validation, go-live, and handover
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams across applications, informatics, service, commercial, and quality functions
  • Managing complex deployments including instrument installation, automation, software integration, assay migration, and workflow redesign
  • Developing detailed project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
  • Overseeing technical readiness activities including site preparation, infrastructure requirements, and LIS integration
  • Building strong relationships with clinical teams, laboratory leadership, and technical partners throughout project delivery
  • Supporting laboratory teams through change management, training coordination, and operational readiness
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing implementation insights and strengthening delivery methodologies

About you:

  • Master’s degree in a scientific, biomedical, engineering, or technical discipline
  • Experience managing customer-facing projects, ideally within clinical diagnostics or regulated environments
  • Understanding of diagnostic laboratory workflows, particularly within flow cytometry, haematology, or immunology
  • Ability to translate clinical and operational requirements into structured project plans and deliverables
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex implementations

For this position, the expected base salary ranges from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum. The role also includes additional benefits, including an annual bonus.
