As Internal Logistics Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimising internal logistics processes within our medical device manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Warehouse and Sterilisation Leader, this position focuses on ensuring efficient material flow, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support productivity and quality.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Overseeing the movement of materials within the facility to ensure accurate and timely delivery to production lines.
- Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Implementing and managing Mizusumashi (water spider) systems to streamline material handling and support just-in-time production.
- Analysing internal logistics processes and developing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Monitoring inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability and minimise excess.
- Collaborating with production, quality, and supply chain teams to align logistics activities with broader business goals.
- Using data analytics to track performance metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
- Training and mentoring team members on best practices in logistics and continuous improvement.
About You:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in internal logistics or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen and Lean principles, ideally with relevant certifications like Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience implementing Mizusumashi systems.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in performance measurement and logistics tools, such as ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence.
