Reporting to the EMEA Senior Manager, Medical Affairs, this role supports medical communications via advertising and promotion/educational content review to ensure collateral submitted for medical review has been appropriately substantiated and meets requirements. Role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between Medical Affairs and Marketing to ensure all materials comply with medical, regulatory, and company standards.
- Perform initial assessment of materials in Veeva Vault, ensuring completeness and readiness for medical review.
- Review a wide range of content (promotional, training, scientific) across multiple formats (slides, videos, social media, brochures, etc.).
- Ensure proper classification of materials and alignment with guidelines (promotional, HEOR, disease awareness, scientific exchange).
- Validate claim substantiation, references, and citations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to content owners, including suggested wording to support approval.
- Manage the review cycle through to final approval, ensuring all medical comments are addressed and timelines are met.
- Maintain high quality standards (brand compliance, grammar, plagiarism) while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or communications.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
- ~2 years’ experience in medical/health communications (writing/editing, medical terminology).
- Strong knowledge of medical communications, claims management, and scientific content.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA & international) and promotional material compliance.
- Experience in medical device industry or related disease areas (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
